How to Completely Change Your Thoughts About HVAC

Welcome to my blog. My name is Betty, and I recently invested in a new heating and cooling system. It had been years since I had purchased our old system, and my husband was alive then. This was the first time selecting my own system. I did a lot of research and even considered taking our HVAC system off the grid. Now, that my house is the perfect temperature all the time, I'm ready to try something else -- so I decided to start a blog. Here, I am going to post a range of blogs on HVAC related issues as well as home repairs and other topics. I hope that you like it.

Top Reasons Why New Homeowners Should Install Ducted Air Units

by Eva Fisher

Imagine that it is the middle of summer and you have just moved into your new home. However, your first day does not go according to plan because the air conditioning system does not meet your needs. Amid sweltering heat, it is vital to own the right air conditioning system because sliding doors and windows will not come to your rescue. Notably, ducted air conditioners offer several benefits in this regard. This article highlights the reasons why new homeowners should opt for a ducted air conditioning system.

Full-Fledged Control -- Most homeowners believe that air conditioning systems are only useful in the summer to cool indoor air for comfort. However, this is not the case with ducted air conditioning systems because the devices are reverse cycle units. It means that either the ACs can heat or cool indoor air based on your requirements. For instance, when indoor air is warm, ducted air conditioners will cool the air for enhanced comfort. Similarly, if the indoor air is cold, the same system will heat the air. Therefore, ducted air systems are considered the best for optimal year-round comfort. Moreover, the units are equipped with zone settings that help reduce electricity consumption and ultimately minimise energy costs.

Improved Aesthetics -- While the sole purpose of an air conditioning system is to keep the house cool or warm, it does not mean that homeowners should settle for units that stick out like a sore thumb. It is the case with non-ducted systems that hang on the wall and take away the aesthetics of a stylish focal point. Plus, with ducted air conditioning units, it is easy to run the ductwork even after the house is complete without affecting the original structure. Moreover, all you see in ducted units is the grille because the ductwork is neatly tucked in the ceiling. Therefore, ducted units are your choice if you want a system that adds to the aesthetics of your home.

Less Noise -- It is one thing to sit in a room with the AC unit blowing fresh air, and it is another enjoying the same cool breeze in a noisy environment. While non-ducted air conditioning systems perform well in cooling indoor air, they produce a humming noise during operation. It can be very frustrating, especially in bedrooms or study rooms. However, this is not as much the case with ducted units because they are designed to dampen noise produced from the vibrations of the AC unit.
